On the 8th of February, the SOTM people have published the task paper and here is a short recap of the things we need to get done by April 1st.
The task basically consists of three elements:
A scientific paper
A visual explanation of the smart system
A marketing video
First off is the paper. It needs a detailed description of the smart system, an analysis of an expert on the smart system and our self-critical view on our work, a basic business strategy, and a specific progress report of our project.
The paper has some other points that you can go look up in our class notebook.
We intend to work with Mrs. Kobel and Mr. Klingbeil on this part of the task as they have the required expertise for this part of the final task.
Poignant and expressive heads will be needed to write the paper!
Next is the visualization of our smart system.
This task has the goal of explaining our smart system in an easily accessible way to people who have no scientific background and idea of what the subject of our smart system is.
The way we explain it to the public is up to us. The only requirements are creativity, attractiveness, innovation, and comprehension.
We think that working with the Art teacher might be a good idea since they know how to pass on information in a visually pleasing way.
Creative and original hands will be needed to craft an interesting visualization!
Lastly, there is the marketing video.
This might be the most tricky one because there are no specific criteria for this task.
We know that the video needs to explain the smart system's basic idea in an "enjoyable and meaningful way" which convinces imaginary potential clients to inform themselves further on the product by reading the paper and watching the visualization.
Of course, it needs to be well structured and have a deeper concept behind it.
Last but not least the clip should be visually appealing to not scare away the audience.
We contacted Mr. Grüebler so he can help us design a business plan and find the key points of our clip with his "WR" - knowledge.
Some clever and refined minds will be needed to create an attractive marketing video!
